Horizons and Vivid 2
My recent exhibition in the Gallery at Saint Martins was very successful. It would have been even more successful if I had had three of the large painting, “Shifting Horizons”! With that in mind, my current work on the easel is a similar theme, slightly different colours and composition, vague horizons and stormy skies.
My compositions all seem to go left to right, intuitively. I don’t think about it, it just happens. is it because that’s the way we read and write/ Maybe if I was arabic they would go right to left, or chinese, down from the top.
The next exhibition on my ever shifting horizon is very close! it starts on Monday 2nd of July and runs until Saturday 8th. this is the third exhibition held by Creative Lincs, a co-operative of artists of all kinds from Lincolnshire. Inspired by colour, every painting, every item of jewellery, every ceramic or glass piece will be bright and colourful. The exhibition will be held in the Victoria Hall in the centre of Oakham, Rutland. (Watch out for our next exhibition, an antidote to Vivid, entitled “Depths of Darkness!)
