Red River Shore

£180.00

During a visit to Wensleydale, in that brief period between lockdown 1 and lockdown 2 I visited Aysgarth Falls, and was struck by the stunning colour of the water on the river shore. It was a luminous, translucent red/brown somewhere between red earth and burnt sienna. This painting started out more representational than it is now! While searching for a title, the Girl from the Red River Shore (Bob Dylan) was running through my head.

oil and cold wax on cradled panel

Framed in a black float frame.
