2022 - What a Crazy Year

So many bad things happened in 2022, starting with Russia invading Ukraine. Natural disasters seemed to happen on a weekly basis, heatwaves, drought, floods and famine;  the political world went mad, in the UK anyway and it got to the stage where we did not want to watch the news for fear of what we might learn next. On a more personal level I lost three very dear friends and yet in the midst of all this, I had an incredible year. It seems selfish to talk about it when there is so much suffering around, but 2022 has been a good year.

I took part in three exhibitions at The Sam Scorer Gallery in Lincoln, (now sadly closed for good), one in the Ropewalk, Barton on Humber, and the icing on the cake, The Usher Art Gallery in Lincoln,  the "Art out of Isolation" Exhibition. The Derwent Gallery in Grindleford, Derbyshire continues to sell my work, as does the Alford Gallery in Lincolnshire, despite the downturn in the economy.

As well as my new website, Birdscapesart.co.uk, I have reopened my Etsy shop, Birdscapesartstudio, where you will find older work. To celebrate a successful year, I am offering a 20% discount for the whole of January 2023 on both of these forums.

Use the code JAN23 at checkout on the website. The Etsy shop will be automatically reduced.
